Cowboy Giveaway!

Hello all!

This weekend was my 29th birthday (yes, the FIRST 29th birthday). I wish I could give away 29 books to celebrate. Instead, I’m giving away a Kindle copy of one of my all-time favorite books.

I’m even reading it right now, trying my best to stretch it out as much as possible. Because this is one of those books I wish I could stay in, almost, forever.

Becky Wade’s “Meant to Be Mine” is the second book in Becky Wade’s Porter Family Series. It features baker extraordinaire Celia Park, and Texas cowboy Ty Porter, a secret baby, and a sizzling romance.

Here’s from the back cover:

Ty Porter has always been irresistible to Celia Park. All through high school–irresistible. When their paths cross again after college– still irresistible. This time, though, Ty seems to feel exactly the same way about Celia. Their whirlwind romance deposits them at a street-corner Las Vegas wedding chapel. The next morning they wake to a marriage certificate and a dose of cold reality. Celia’s ready to be Ty’s wife, but Ty’s not ready to be her husband. He’s a professional bull rider, he lives on the road, and he’s long planned to settle down with the hometown girl he’s known since childhood.

Five and a half years pass. Celia’s buried her dreams so that she can afford to raise her daughter. Ty’s achieved all of his goals. Or thought he had, until he looks again into the eyes of the woman he couldn’t forget and into the face of the child he never knew he had.

How much will Ty sacrifice to win back Celia’s trust and prove to her that their spontaneous marriage can still become the love of a lifetime?

Here are 29 reasons to read “Meant to Be Mine”:

  • Celia. She’s feisty, courageous and compassionate.
  • Ty. Who, in addition to being a showboat, is pretty charming, especially if you read him with a Texas accent in your head.
  • The banter between Ty and Celia.
  • You may or may not discover how great Red Vines are (and no, they’re not just knock-off Twizzlers).
  • It may bring on a baking kick (at least for compulsive bakers, like Celia and me).
  • The themes of restoration, reconciliation, and forgiveness.
  • Cowboy boots! We’re a fan of those around here.
  • Becky Wade wrote it!
  • Uncle Danny, who is a seriously great character.
  • And…. The last 20 reasons have to do with the fact that this is a giveaway. And FREE books are always good news. Am I right?

(Ps! This giveaway is open until Tuesday, May 29th, 2018)

Austin Ryan makes her home in a forest clearing in the nutmegy part of New England.

In love with words, books and all things related, she can usually be found either reading or writing, or even reading about writing.

She wrote her first story at seven, an illustrated adventure about a troll girl retrieving her doll from the moon. The story was self-published in one copy, and most likely still exists in her mother’s attic.

Since then she’s written numerous stories, and now she is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW). Austin writes inspirational romance, working her way toward publication one paragraph at a time.

Apart from all things bookish, her favorite past times include going on adventures with the-best-six-year-old-ever, hanging (more) twinkle lights around the house, or simply watching the waves roll in from the ocean.

Never had a crush on a real live cowboy but those fictional cowboy heroes get me every time.

Honestly, I can’t remember! There were guys at school who wore cowboy boots, and I was totally boy-crazy, so there’s a possibility that the two intersected at some point! Lol

I’ve never had a crush on a cowboy being a South Korean living in Sweden. I’ll have no chance of doing it (unless in a novel) either as I’m married and well passed the age of romance (?).

    • Austin Ryan May 24, 2018 at 5:27 pm - Reply

I could see how that would be a very cowboy-stifling environment 🙂 But, there are always novels!

Congratulations, Sarah!! The Kindle version of “Meant to Be Mine” by Becky Wade is on it’s way to you!

    I can’t say I’ve ever had a crush on a cowboy.

Perhaps Ty Porter will do the trick 😉

Growing up and living in the Southwest, I have always loved cowboy/western movies and books. There is something usually straightforward and basic, without frills, with someone who is more tied to the land.

    • Austin Ryan May 27, 2018 at 12:38 am - Reply

Yes! I think a lot of people are drawn to that lifestyle, especially now that less people are tied to land themselves 🙂
