Welcome to the Romance Reader’s Café – your online spot to connect with writers of clean, contemporary romance!
This blog is something I’ve been wanting to start for a while for a couple of reasons. First, because I wanted to create a place where readers could not only read from their favorite authors, but meet more authors in the process (who doesn’t like finding more authors to read?). Second, because I wanted to write more personal stores about what I do.
I love talking about how to write and what makes a well-written book (you can find a lot of that at this blog), but I also wanted a chance to talk about who inspires my characters (hint: you can find pieces of my husband in every leading male character), the places that inspire my settings, the unique ways in which my pets “help” the writing process, and more! Basically, I wanted an outlet for all of those fun details that never make it onto my regular blog.
I didn’t want to do this alone, though. I don’t just want to share my behind-the-scenes stories, I also want to read other author’s behind-the-scenes stories, so I decided to see if I could find a couple of other authors to join me.
Turns out there are other authors like me out there! Five, in fact.
Each of us has our own style and voice: we have big-city and small-town writers, Midwest and Southwest writers, Christian and secular authors. We do have one thing in common, though – we all write clean (no sex, no violence, no swearing), contemporary romance.
What does this mean for you?
It means you’ll always get to read posts from authors committed to writing clean, contemporary romance, but it also means each post will be unique, and each topic will be different!
This first month our schedule will be slightly different, but here’s who you can expect to see each week throughout the month:
Other than that schedule, there’s no set format – just good, clean, blogging fun! So grab your favorite mug, pour yourself some coffee, and join us!
