Introducing Author Kelly Scott

Earlier this month, Beth Olsson broke the news that she’s stepping away from the Romance Reader’s Cafe to devote more time to her family and writing. While we’re sad to say goodbye, the timing worked out well as we had already decided to look at expanding our list of contributors. Technically we aren’t expanding, but we aren’t shrinking either as we say farewell to Beth and hello to Kelly!

Kelly Scott is another pre-published author who writes the kind of sweet, clean romances that all of us here love! She not only writes clean and Christian romance, she also reads it. You can see what she’s reading and who who likes on her website, where she features book reviews  and author interviews. An accountant by day, writing is her outlet. Here’s how she describes herself:

By day, I’m buried in Excel spreadsheets, which is why I must write! I graduated from Texas A&M University with a BBA in accounting and, almost ten years later, completed my MS in Accounting at UT Dallas. I wrote my first manuscript in 2017 when a photo in People magazine sparked an idea. 130,000 words later, that book is parked safely under my bed.

I live in the Dallas area with my illustrator husband (whom I met on Eharmony) and my two boys. I’ve lived in Texas all of my life (except for those two and a half years when I was a missionary in China and Thailand). When I’m not writing or lost in Excel, I enjoy reading, cooking, baking, watching football, and spending time with my family.

Kelly’s first post will be in January, and I can’t wait to see what she has to share with us! Until then, you can learn more about her on her website or on Facebook.

Please join us in welcoming Kelly to the Romance Reader’s Cafe!
